We are most well-known for developing the Warhammer: Vermintide franchise, but have also helped develop a number of AAA titles and we launched the highly anticipated game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.
We have grown quite a bit over the last few years and are almost two-hundred “Sharks” now, but we still embrace the same values that we started with. The role
Fatshark is looking for a skilled Test Automation Engineer that will further improve on how we work with automated testing.
As a Test Automation Engineer you will be a part of our Builds and Automation team, a team of developers dedicated to making sure we can ensure regular, stable releases, where potential bugs and errors are found as early as possible using automated tests. You will have a great impact in setting the routines in how we tackle every day challenges revolving quality of our games and managing continuous testing as well as testing gameplay in tight collaboration with our internal Projects, QA, Engine, and Tools teams.
Today we make these automated tests with our own test frameworks using Lua and Ruby for Stingray (our in-house game engine) projects and C++ and C# for Unreal Engine projects. There are parts of our testing processes that need to be automated, and this is where you come in as a test automation engineer setting up the foundation for test automation and supporting our gameplay coders to add more automated testing.

What you'll do
- Continuously improve our test automation systems
- Implement and manage various automated functional tests
- Solve challenging problems both on your own and as a part of the team
- Be a link between project, QA and Central Tech teams
- Selflessly share knowledge with colleagues
- Actively engage and suggest improvements on the way we work
Required qualifications
- Professional programming experience
- At least 2+ years experience working with test automation
- Experience using either C++, C#, Lua or equivalent programming languages
- Higher education / Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent
- Strong knowledge of English, both written and spoken
- As a person - you are proactive, flexible, and organized, you enjoy collaborating with others and also know how to give and receive constructive feedback
Bonus qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, Teamcity, and/or GitLab
- Knowledge of agile workflows and scrum
- Experience working as a team lead/scrum master, or equivalent
- Used version control systems before, such as Git, Perforce, or SVN
- Worked previously with game development for PC and current generation of consoles
- Knowledge from other parts of games development, production, and/or publishing
- Like dogs

We are following the policy of working 4 days in the office per week, with 1 day option to work from home. The onboarding is being done fully in the office.
