We are Fatshark

We are an independent Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 100 experienced and skilled employees we have worked as contractors for a number of AAA projects, as well as developed titles with publishers and independently for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2. We tackle every project, genre and setting with enthusiasm, professionalism and a cup of coffee.

The role

We’re now looking to hire a Build engineer to join our in team! As a Build Engineer you will be responsible for the health of our build pipeline and help us do regular stable releases, both internal and external, while continuously improving the build environment.

As our first full time Build Engineer at Fatshark, you will be collaborating and working closely with our developers, QA and release management team. Having developed and delivered over 10 games, we have long experience working with build environments - but you’ll be able to further improve and streamline them and be a part of making the best co-op games in the industry.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping our build pipeline up and running
  • Troubleshooting problems together with developers
  • Educating developers about how our build pipeline works
  • Further improve (by programming and administrating) our build pipeline
  • Give technical input for our release planning
  • Take part of our on call duty during major releases


Required qualifications

  • Experience working with builds in a professional environment
  • Experience with automation
  • Professional programming experience
  • Bachelor in programming-related education or the experience to make up for it



Bonus qualifications

  • Experience with TeamCity
  • Experience with CI/CD work
  • Experience in onboarding and training new colleagues
  • Basic programming knowledge in languages like ruby, C#, C++, etc
  • Basic knowledge in other fields related to game development
  • Interested in learning new software
  • Experience with our games, especially Vermintide 2
