Marketing Director

Marketing Director

We are Fatshark

We are an independent Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 100 experienced and skilled employees we have worked as contractors for a number of AAA projects, as well as developed titles with publishers and independently for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2. We tackle every project, genre and setting with enthusiasm, professionalism and a cup of coffee.

The role

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will set the vision and strategy for our marketing and, working closely with producers and executives, creating marketing roadmaps for our titles. You are comfortable taking the initiative and self-reliant in pushing projects and changes. At the same time, your team will be small and you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. Emphasis is on coordination and collaboration with all parts of the studio to make maximum use of our creativity and resources.

As a Marketing Director you will lead our marketing team in developing our brands, and planning and executing our campaigns. As a passionate core gamer you understand our industry and will develop a deep appreciation for our player base and a close relationship with our community.

The role blends the creative, the business and the analytical. We work with entertainment, putting our customers at the centre whilst figuring out ways to thrive in the ever-changing games industry landscape. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic for the job, an evangelist for our games and dedicated to our players.

We are a growing studio and have the privilege of continuously welcoming new talented and friendly colleagues to our teams. Fatshark has several million-selling titles under its belt, yet we’re still strongly independent, agile and fast-moving with a distinct start-up approach to things.

  • Ability and confidence to quickly move from idea to action; to continuously run the hypothesis-test-evaluate cycle

Who are we?

When we put Fatshark to sea in 2007, we wanted to create a place where talented people would come together and create awesome games. We did, and Fatshark is today a studio and publisher where great ideas spawn and reach the hands of countless players.

Equally important to us, we’ve never lost the joy that goes into creating great games. Over the years, we have created a habitat in which all kinds of fatsharks can thrive.

Cooperation is key

At Fatshark, we develop and publish cooperative games, where people come together to have fun and solve problems together. In a Fatshark game, you are given the freedom to succeed or fail trying as a group. And that's exactly the way we like it. Through teamwork in our games and in our studio, 1+1=3.
