We are Fatshark

We are an independent Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 75 experienced and skilled employees we have worked as contractors for a number of AAA projects, as well as developed titles with publishers and independently for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2. We tackle every project, genre and setting with enthusiasm, professionalism and a cup of coffee.

We are looking for a UX Designer!

Fatshark is looking to hire a UX Designer that will play a very important role in our productions. You will be the captain of UX, creating prototypes, gathering feedback for implementing crisp interfaces & menus in our games - always striving for a smooth and immersive gameplay experience.

As a UX Designer you will foremost work closely with our Graphical Designers, Level Designers and UI Developers, making significant contributions in identifying and implementing great UX design practices, style guides and functional interfaces. Simply put, you will be a key player in our game development by creating visual appeal, enjoyed by many players, that balances usability and functionality.

What you'll do

  • Design interfaces and in-game menus
  • Create mock-ups/prototypes for new ideas and evaluate older solutions
  • Make design decisions based on studies/data of user behaviour
  • Work alongside a cross-functional team of designers, artists and programmers
  • Be involved in areas of game production that revolves around user interfaces and in-game guide styles, interactions and functionality


  • 2+ years of experience working as a UX/UI Designer
  • A solid understanding of user behaviour/psychology (Because Science!)
  • The ability and the ambition to challenge status quo and bring new concepts to the table
  • A portfolio to present your previous work
  • Excellent communication in English (Swedish is not a requirement)
  • A passion for playing and making games
  • A team player: you are flexible and adaptive, have a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate, lead and inspire


  • You are familiar with Fatshark’s games, such as Warhammer Vermintide II
  • A University degree within User/Interaction Design, or the work experience to make up for that
  • Basic knowledge within scripting (mainly for presenting interactive prototypes)
