We are Fatshark

We are a Swedish game development studio located in Södermalm, Stockholm. With about 150 experienced and skilled employees we are developing and publishing titles for both consoles and PC. Our most recent game is the critically acclaimed title Warhammer: Vermintide 2 and we are also working on our next game Warhammer 40,000: Darktide.

The role

We are looking for a Cinematics Designer to join our narrative team! You will work closely with the Cinematics Director and other designers to create high quality cutscenes and trailers for our games. You will design your scenes and implement them in-game, all in a fast paced and highly creative environment.

  • Create cinematic sequences for in-game cinematics and trailer material using in-house game engine
  • Blocking and planning scenes prior to mocap shoots
  • Attend & support the mocap shoots
  • Setup scenes in-game editor with cameras + characters + vfx, etc. 
  • Basic Lighting
  • Provide accurate time estimates for tasks and meet production deadlines

Required qualifications

  • A showreel presenting your work or links to samples of your work
  • Strong visual storytelling & cinematography skills (framing, blocking, lighting)
  • Experience editing video footage in Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Fluent in English, both written & spoken
  • Experience working with a game engine to create cinematic content (e.g Unity or Unreal)

Bonus qualifications

  • A deeper knowledge of Cinematic Lighting
  • Experience of VFX in Adobe After Effects or similar
  • Experience working in the game industry
